1. What Grüp is

Grüp is a group-payment platform that lets an organiser create a payment event, send payment requests to a group, and track who has paid. Grüp is operated in South Africa.

2. Payments

Payment processing on Grüp is performed by accredited third-party payment service providers. Grüp does not store card details and does not hold collected funds — money paid through Grüp settles directly to the organiser's own bank account via our payment partners. Payment processing is subject to the applicable payment partner's own terms.

3. Your responsibilities

Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of the payment events they create, for the bank account details they register for settlement, and for honouring the purpose for which money is collected. Payers are responsible for confirming the details of a payment request before paying. Grüp is a facilitation platform and is not a party to the underlying arrangement between an organiser and their payers.

4. Refunds and disputes

Because funds settle directly to organisers, refunds are handled between the payer and the organiser. If you believe a payment request is fraudulent, contact us immediately at hello@grup.co.za and we will investigate and may suspend the relevant account.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Grüp to collect money for unlawful purposes, to mislead payers, or in breach of any applicable law. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

6. Fees

Any platform fees applicable to a payment will be disclosed before the payment is made.

7. Liability

Grüp is provided on an "as is" basis during its current early-access period. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Grüp's liability in connection with the service is limited to the platform fees paid to Grüp for the affected transaction.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
